Cooking Class: Fresh and Easy Pasta From Scratch
Learn why handmade pasta tastes better in this hands-on cooking class. Chef Asher will teach authentic Italian techniques to turn fresh ingredients into pasta. You'll mix semolina flour and egg yolks into dough using a food processor. Then, learn how to cut and shape the dough into cavatelli by hand. Plus, learn how to make a creamy cacio e pepe sauce made with ricotta and pecorino romano cheeses. Mix in the pasta and garnish with Italian basil and chives. In the end, enjoy your Italian feast made from scratch.

I would like to point out that the rating is more for the event itself , then Chef Asher. Chef Asher was totally cool and knowledgeable! The class itself, was lacking. It was located in the back of a brewery, so everyone was cramped in a corner. Second, there was hardly any cooking. We mostly sat at tables and made pasta shapes from premade dough. We did not get to cook the pasta or make the sauce. Again, I think this had to do with the extreme limitations of the venue space Chef Asher had to work with. Pretty bummed because it could have been a great experience had there been a better set up.
