Cooking Class: Handcrafted California Rolls
Explore the flavors of the California coast in this immersive cooking class. Led by Chef Kathleen, you'll learn how to make decadent California rolls from scratch.
The class begins with an introduction to high-quality ingredients. You'll learn the recipe to make the perfect seasoned sushi rice, adding rice vinegar, salt and sugar to the rice. Then, layer your ingredients onto nori sheets. You can make a vegan or faux crab California roll using avocados, carrots and red peppers. Then, master the technique of rolling the sushi like a professional chef. Whip up a flavorful dipping juice with ginger juice, soy sauce, wasabi and red pepper flakes. Enjoy your flavorful handcrafted snack as you revel in your newfound skills.
