Cooking Class: Simple Sicilian Selections
The rich flavors and soothing textures of Sicilian cuisine are in the spotlight in this cooking class from Chef Vinutha. She'll open your eyes to the skills required to create a traditional spread that's sure to satisfy. Your lesson includes a festive fennel and orange salad and two pasta dishes made from scratch: cavati alla norma with eggplant and ricotta and ravioli all'arancia with oranges and sun-dried tomatoes. Finish up the course with a classic Italian dessert of crunchy cookies and espresso.

Cavati Alla Norma
With garlic, tomatoes, basil, eggplant and salted ricotta
Ravioli all'Arancia

Amaretti Cookies and Espresso
With egg whites, almond flour, sugar, icing sugar and almond slices

With roles as line chef, event sales specialist and service associate, Chef Vinutha has created an eclectic career in the culinary industry. She holds a special passion for pairing food and wine and loves creating Indian, Italian, Thai and Lebanese dishes for her friends and family to enjoy. When she isn't teaching, Chef Vinutha is busy creating her own catering company and broadcasting videos celebrating the cuisine of South India on her YouTube channel.
